Public Transport
Stagecoach operate a frequent bus service offering two routes that stop a short walk away from the Begbroke Science Park. Please see: www.stagecoachbus.com/oxfordshire for details of the Stagecoach bus service.
From Oxford, the number S3 bus service to Woodstock is the recommended option for using public transport. It travels from Gloucester Green bus station north up the Woodstock Road and along the A44 to Charlbury or Chipping Norton (depending on time). You will need to ask the driver to let you off at the Sandy Lane Roundabout bus stop in Yarnton. From the bus stop, cross the main road, bear right, towards Yarnton Nurseries and walk up Sandy Lane. Continue up the lane for about 300m, the driveway for the science park is on the left hand side, and is signposted. The number 7 bus is more frequent, but is less convenient at the Begbroke end of the Journey as there is a 15-20 minute walk to get to the Science Park. The bus travels north from stop C2 in Magdalen Street, central Oxford, up the Banbury Road to Kidlington. You will need to ask the driver to let you off at the Yarnton Road bus stop in Kidlington. Walk south along Yarnton Road heading out of Kidlington for about 1km, over the humpback bridge and railway crossing, until you see the clearly signposted entrance to the Science Park on the right. Oxford University Begbroke Science Park is situated some 5 miles north of Oxford City Centre on the A44:
Directions from the south:
From the A34 Peartree Roundabout, take the A44 towards Woodstock. At the next roundabout take the first exit and then continue straight over the following roundabout with 'The Turnpike' Public House on your right-side and onto the dual carriageway. Continue straight over the next roundabout, and over the pedestrian crossing, until you reach the traffic lights sign posted 'Begbroke Science Park'. Turn right at these traffic lights. The science park can no longer be accessed via Sandy Lane. Follow the entrance road, then round to the right and turn left into the car park (signed 'Site Reception and Visitors Car Park', if you are attending a conference, please park in the 'Conference Car Park').
Directions from the north:
From Woodstock, travel south on the A44, continue straight over the traffic lights for Oxford Airport and pass through the village of Begbroke on the dual carriageway. At the next traffic lights, turn left into 'Begbroke Science Park'. The science park can no longer be accessed via Sandy Lane. Follow the entrance road, then round to the right and turn left into the car park (signed 'Site Reception and Visitors Car Park', if you are attending a conference, please park in the 'Conference Car Park').
