Knowledge Transfer

At Begbroke Knowledge Transfer takes place in a variety of different guises ranging from passing conversations between academics and companies, to networking events and formally based KT contracts. There are two Knowledge Transfer networks based on site, plus the University of Oxford's Knowledge Transfer Partnership Office, as well as other activities.
Knowledge Transfer (KT) is the process by which knowledge and ideas move between the University of Oxford and users of that knowledge, which are often businesses. It is one of the strategic priorities of the university, and Begbroke Science Park is one of several departments and subsidiary companies of the university that help it to meet its objectives in this area.
Begbroke Science Park focusses on the development of an holistic mix of small, technology orientated businesses and academic departments with often space demanding research activities on the site. It complements this with a range of facilities and initiatives that encourage and support business - university interactions.
