Begbroke Launches International Business Event Series

Free breakfast seminar series

Begbroke Science Park is pleased to announce the launch of their International Breakfast Seminar Series. Starting in the New Year, and with four events already in place, the series will benefit all companies whether they are experienced exporters looking to take on some of the world’s newly emerging markets, or relative novices wondering where to start.

Kick starting the series on 16 January, Gill Wells, Head of Oxford University’s European Team, will show delegates how to access their share of €70 billion research and innovation funding. Horizon 2020 is the EU’s new funding programme and is aimed at all those involved in research and innovation, including academia, research and industry.

On 6 February Roope Aaltonen, International Trade Advisor for Oxfordshire, will reveal how the UK Trade and Investment network can provide support both locally and globally. This seminar will provide information, advice and mentoring to encourage international business growth.

20 March sees technology start up, Energenics, share their experiences of doing business overseas. Companies will receive advice from experts who have first-hand experience of the challenges and benefits of operating within international markets.

Also in Spring 2014, businesses can discover how free business support from the Enterprise Europe Network can aid the commercialisation of their ideas within international markets. Triin Udris, Project Manager at the Enterprise Europe Network, will visit Begbroke on 24 April to explain all.

Manager of Begbroke Science Park, Dr Caroline Livingstone, said “We are really pleased to be able to organise and host the International Business Events Series. Here at Begbroke we understand the economic importance of UK companies operating overseas and are delighted that the successes of our previous events allow us to attract high quality speakers who are experts within their different fields”.
