Enterprise Europe Network offers business match-making service at BSP Seminar
The Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) Project Manager, Triin Udris, presented the latest seminar in the Begbroke Science Park International Series. Triin explained how EEN can help businesses across Oxfordshire access international markets through their 54 member countries, 600 associated organisations and 3000 advisors.
EEN’s main focus is on international business match-making; however, they also offer all kinds of free business support, from advice on EU law and standards through to accessing research funding.
The main tool to help companies build collaborations is the partnership database. Triin explained how companies can either search for potential overseas partners or upload their own business profile to the database. Connections can then be made online via local EEN offices.
EEN also holds a number of brokerage events, which Triin described as “business speed-dating”, with companies being able to set up numerous meetings with potential partners.
Scattered throughout the presentation were a series of case studies featuring examples of international partnerships that EEN has formed.
Following the seminar David Sarphie, of Bio Nano Consulting, commented that it was a “very useful seminar and a very knowledgeable seminar leader”.

The next event in the series takes place on 5th June and will see Claire Snowdon, of expatknowhow, share her experience of ‘Bridging Cultural Differences within Globalised Markets’. To book a place on this event email firstname.lastname@example.org.
