Saturday 26 February sees the start of the Oxfordshire Science Festival 2011, a programme of events, many involving University scientists, which spans National Science & Engineering Week (11-20 March).
Highlights of the Festival, which runs until 20 March, include the opening Science in Your World event held in Bonn Square (26 February) talks and telescope evenings from the Department of Physics (28 February-14 March), Science in the Kitchen (4 March), a session on Making Micrographia (5 March) as well as the return of the Wow! How? science fair (12 March).
The Festival also sees a series of special events for local schools, including the Oxford University Science Roadshow, an Innovation Showcase at Begbroke Science Park, and the Department of Physics secondary school roadshow.
