A range of professional courses at Begbroke Science Park, developed and delivered in collaboration with Oxford University’s Department for Continuing Education, focusing on nanotechnology. Specially designed for busy professionals, these courses provide essential skills for the development of the workforce using the latest knowledge and training techniques.
We work closely with departments across Oxford University and other institutions, research councils, government agencies and industry. As well as hosting and delivering online and short Nanotechnology training programmes with the Department for Continuing Education, we can meet specific training needs through in-house workshops and courses.
Begbroke Science Park is dedicated to attracting and inspiring the young scientists of the future! Our schools events programme inspires students to continue studying science in Higher Education and offers practical workshops for teachers, including learning resources to take back to the classroom.
One of our most successful outreach programmes is our Practical Nanoscience Day, allowing students to explore and understand the idea of nanoscience and to realise the potential of new developing nanotechnologies.
The workshop activities are combined with tours of Begbroke's world-class research labs, giving students and teachers a fascinating insight into the depth and breadth of career opportunities in STEM subjects.
Other outreach activity includes STEM employability workshops, careers fairs and multimedia courses for secondary schools. Want to find out how else your school can engage with Begbroke Science Park?
