TGAC share their experience of Oxford Nanopore Technologies’ MinION Access Programme

oxford-nanpore-logoThe Genome Analysis Centre (TGAC)’s task force share their experience of the ground breaking trial so far.

One of the first research Institutes to be part of  Oxford Nanopore Technologies’ MinION Access Programme, TGAC plans to use the miniaturized sequencing device to conduct live environmental surveillance; rather than gathering samples to take back to the laboratory, enabling the researchers to deliver real-time experimental genetic data for immediate analysis.

Oxford Nanopore was founded on the science of Professor Hagan Bayley of the University of Oxford in 2005. Originally located at Begbroke Science Park, the company now employs a team of more than 150 people including scientists, engineers, informaticians, manufacturing and commercial specialists.
