The Oxford University Science Park & Innovation Day

9.30am – 3.30pm. Networking and drinks 4.00pm to 6.30pm

Plus free return travel for University of Oxford staff and students (ID required) on the Stage Coach Bus S3, travelling to and from Oxford City Centre and Begbroke Science Park; on Tuesday 14th, Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th June.

A celebration of the science park and university innovation – present and future.

PROGRAMME:

9.30am: Arrival, refreshments & networking

10.00am: Welcome by Alistair Cory, Director of the University of Oxford Science Park and introduction to Begbroke Science Park and Oxford University Innovations day

10.15am – 11.30am:  Session 1 – Innovation in the University of Oxford and Oxfordshire.  Presentations, panel discussions and audience interaction with Dr Chris Jones, Head of Innovation and Business Partnerships OU MPLS.  Dr Brendan Ludden, Head of Licensing and Ventures Physical Sciences, OUI;  Sarah Haywood, Managing Director of Advanced Oxford

11.30am: Refreshments and networking

12.00pm – 1.00pm: Session 2 – Innovation Present and Future. Presentations, panel discussions and audience interaction with various university academics, R&D companies and entrepreneurs including Professor Wei Huang, Biological Engineering and more, David Herbada CEO of Sonosine and Sebastian Balcombe from Oxford University Developments

1.00pm – 2.00pm: Lunch, refreshments and networking

2.00pm – 3.30pm: Session 3 – Innovation Future and the Innovation District.  Presentation of the science park’s future facing entrepreneurs and development plans, new buildings and Innovation District with Maarek Tammeorg, NBBJ; Jonathan Burroughs from Creative Places and Paula Brown from Oxford University Estates

3.30pm: Refreshments and networking

4.00pm – 6.30pm: Networking at Pitch @ the Park with drinks:  Enjoy the elevator pitches from spin-outs, start-ups, businesses and entrepreneurs with peer to peer and audience interaction, evening drinks and networking in the summer sunshine!
