On Friday 27 March, Oxford University Science Park, Begbroke was honoured to host His Majesty King Charles III and The Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire, Mrs Marjorie Glasgow BEM, for a visit to tenant company OXCCU.
OXCCU, an Oxford University spinout, develops novel catalysts and reactor designs to convert waste carbon into liquid hydrocarbons with high conversion and selectivity for use as fuels, chemicals and plastics.
The King’s visit featured a demonstration of the company’s fuel production technology as well as a discussion with the wider team about the role that their technology can play in reducing aviation emissions and supporting industrial resilience.
Andrew Symes, Co-Founder and CEO of OXCCU, commented:
“It was a profound honour to welcome His Majesty to Begbroke and to share more about the work our team is doing at OXCCU. This visit was a deeply meaningful opportunity to reflect on the importance of supporting technologies that can move from the laboratory towards real industrial impact.”
